Greyhound of the month - Meika
Hi. I'm Meika. I'm a beautiful 2 yo blue girl.
My current foster family also fostered my sister Mischa who is now happy in her forever home, and I'm hoping to find mine too. I hear my foster family telling everyone what good girls we are.

I share my foster home with two big male greys and a Whippet puppy, and the boys treat me like the lady that I am. The puppy is fun and I often keep her happy doing zoomies in the yard with her. I am good with the human kids too - the smallest is 2, like me, and I know to be gentle around her.
My foster Dad says I walk beautifully on the lead, and sometimes he needs to check to make sure I'm still there!! I greet the family with bowed head snuggles, and will gently put my paw on your lap if I really like you. I'm not keen on thunderstorms, and need a little hug (some humans do too) so I'm not too worried about that !!
I desperately want to get on the lounge, but when we are in foster care, we aren't allowed, this is just in case our forever home doesn't like us to, so I would love a home that wouldn't mind a snuggle watching TV of a night.
I am very lady like, and even though my appetite is good, I eat daintily. Chicken necks are my favourite snack. I go to watch the kids play soccer and Rugby, and I enjoy all the attention I get there. I am very well adjusted for a 2 yo !!
So if you would like a well mannered lady-like best friend with lots of cuddles to give, then I'm your girl !!!

GAP NSW is not a rescue group - we do not take Greyhounds from the pounds, RSPCA etc. However we will work with them where possible. We have a lengthy waiting list of dogs being held by their racing owners until we have space in one of our foster homes.
GAP NSW is desperately seeking a new sponsor for supply of a good quality dry food for our dogs in foster care!
Fostering homes needed!
