Welcome to Greyhound Adoption Program NSW

The Greyhound Adoption Program (NSW), Inc. is a non-profit organisation, incorporated with the NSW Department of Fair Trading, which is dedicated to the welfare of Greyhounds. We are also a charity.  Our primary purpose is to educate the public on the benefits and care of Greyhounds as companion animals, and to find permanent loving homes for these beautiful hounds. We rely on memberships and donations for our funding and do not accept Greyhound Racing industry funds.

Greyhound of the Week - Ruby

Ruby
Meet Ruby, a supermodel of the greyhound world (so I've been told!) with her beautiful eyeliner and those lovely long legs. She is looking for a home. Ruby is still a puppy at heart, being only 2.5 years old, and has been thoroughly enjoying her adventures through the the bush and is always in top gear on her walks, super keen and super curious about the world around her.

She started off quite rusty with her leash manners, not taking into consideration where or what her handler is doing. With some training and consistent rules while out and about she's dropping along nicely by her handlers side so both can enjoy a casual stroll. She would greatly benefit from continuing her leash manners training in her new home.

Ruby is one of the most incredibly affectionate and gentle greyhounds around, while she loves to jump about the house with a toy in her mouth, she equally loves snuggling up for lots of cuddles and kisses, giving you a gentle nose 'boop' as a polite way of asking for some more. She is very gentle with the people around her, even when she's bursting with excitement.

So far Ruby has met all new dogs politely, big and small, and has enjoyed the company of three other greyhounds she's been sharing a house with in her foster home. She has happily shared her toys, bed and eating space like a true lady. She has thrived in her new pet life and has a HUGE amount of love to give to the lucky human/s who become her new forever family.
